Fly

Your small and fragile flying through the air
Not knowing where your going to land
Staring down at the earth
You dont want to fall
Right now you feel so very tall
But the wind is whirling
You fly into a branch
Hoping you will have one last chance
Your small and fragile you fall into the earth
Under the grass you lie now
The end is coming near
Dont worry little fly, dont have any fear

Welcome to my head

As i was searching throughout hundreds of hundreds of peoples blogs i stumbled across a blog called "welcome to my head". It was the first blog that i came across that made a lot of sense to me. My favorite blog that is written would be the smiley face one =]. Its pretty much about never giving up on something because if you do you might have given up something that would have been great in your life. One line says "never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game". And this is the truth, we all have obstacles that we must overcome and face, it's apart of life and you will never succeed in life unless you finish your mission. Another line that i like is"Perhaps God is testing us right now, all these problems we are going through.. may be a part of an obstacle that he created for us". To me this makes a lot of sense things are thrown in are way so that we can face them and grow as a person but if we blow them off or hide from them we will never amount to anything in life. These tests were created for us so we can become something of importance. You should really read this blog it is amazing!!!!

Moving footsteps

Moving footsteps toward the sea
The waves calm the soul
Walking down the sandy shore
As you make a path in the sand
You close your eyes, as the wind hits your face
Holding all that is dear in your heart
Knowing they will never part
Moving footsteps toward the sea
Praying that you never have to leave


My reasons for writing this poem is because I have lived in Florida for the past eight years and just moved up to Ohio to live with my dad and step mom. The beach was one of the most important places i went to think or write or draw about things or life. Most of the important things while living in Florida happened at the beach probably because new things were always happening and new people were always around.The beach was always changing in little ways and it made it a special place. My poem also tells how even though I'm away from my mom and all my friends in Florida they are still in my heart wherever i go. My favorite line is probably "Moving footsteps toward the sea", because you are drawn to the beach, the fact that it is so huge and entirely to large to ever see all of it in ones lifetime is amazing. I believe the ocean is like going to a spa, it calms you, it's a joyful place. My poem shows how much the beach meant to me and how much I miss being so far away.

All about ME!!!

Hello people out there in blogger land my name is Mary and I am in a creative writing class which is why i have a blogging page. Well to start of i attend Northview High School and I'm a junior. I'm from the warm and sunny Florida and i just moved up to Ohio and it is like the frozen tundra here! I really need a job and money but currently i don't and I'm trying to get one at Red Robin. So for the past year I have been a vegetarian and I am finally allowed to eat meat again and I'm so happy about it I cant even contain myself. Since moving to Ohio I have realized that snow is my worst enemy and we are not friends. Especially the negative wind chills and temperatures, while my sister sits in 70 degree weather warm and getting a tan. I think this creative writing class is going to be fun hopefully as long as i can think of things to write about it should be okay. My favorite color would be orange because it is bright I'm in love with music you can ask me any song and ill know it, music is my obsession. The best show in the world is Secret Life of the American Teenager its amazing. I know how to play a couple of songs on the gutair which I'm very proud of i must say and thats pretty much it about me.
